Things you should know...

What are Eyelash Extensions? Eyelash Extensions are individual synthetic lashes similar to natural hair. They are applied to your natural lashes accentuating the beauty of the eyes.

How long do the Eyelashes last? When applied by a professional, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes, usually between 4 and 8 weeks. Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks.

Will  Eyelash Extensions damage my natural lashes? The application of lash extensions, when done professionally will not damage your lashes. However what can and will damage your lashes is rubbing or pulling on the lash extensions. For those with allergy problems who tend to rub excessively on your eyes, lash extensions may not be for you. We would recommend our Lash Growth Serum instead.

How often should I get refills? We recommend getting a refill every 2 to 4 weeks. A refill is needed to fill in any lashes that have fallen due to the natural cycle of your own lashes. Refill appointments  require approximately 50-60 minutes.

Can I apply mascara to my eyelash extensions? Mascara is not really required since the extensions actually give the illusion of wearing mascara. In fact, one of the many benefits of eyelash extensions is that you do not need to use mascara. If you must apply mascara, however, only use water-based mascara. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA as they can dissolve the bonding agent used and they can shorten the life of your eyelash extensions. Use care when washing off the water-based mascara and only use a water based eye makeup remover.

Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while  wearing eyelash extensions? Yes. The bonding agent used to apply your eyelash extensions is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise etc. However we recommending waiting 12hrs from initial set or refill application to get your lashes wet. That ensure proper bonding time for glue.

How do I take care of my eyelash extensions?

Do not get lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours

Avoid hot steam or sauna

For longer lasting lashes, limit the use of running water

directly on your lashes

Avoid rubbing your eyes excessively

Use water based eye makeup remover

Do not perm your lashes

Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler

Do not pull on your lashes

Thyroid Medication

For clients on thyroid medication, lash extensions will not likely hold on your lash hair. It is recommended to do a trial set.

Before Your Appointment

What you should do before your Eyelash Extension appointment. Remove all eye makeup and clean your lashes with mild, oil free cleanser. Do not use oil based makeup removers to clean your lashes prior to the application. Do not put on any mascara. We don't want to spend time cleaning your lashes. We'd rather spend time working on perfecting your lashes. If you are a contact lens wearer, please remove contact lenses and wear glasses to your appointment, or bring a lens case and remove them when you arrive at your appointment. Plan to set aside 1 to 2.5 hours for your appointment. Some of our clients fall asleep during the procedure.
